Social Networking Search Sites

help! social networking virus!?

hey guys, I need help. I have a virus on my home computer. Basically, general websites are working. But any social networking sites are not coming up on my computer, so much so that I just have to use the term social networking sites and not refer to them specifically to ask this question. Not only can I not access these sites, but if I even do a search engine for the sites there will be an error page after I submit. In addition to that, any common phrases I normally enter into search engines aren’t coming up. for example, if someone were to type in “sports scores” constantly they wont come up with this virus. I’ve tried just about everything on the planet, symantec, malware bytes, adware, windows defender, and still no dice. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I really don’t want to have to back up files and restart windows and go through all that!
