Chatroulette: Extreme social networking site connects random strangers via webcams
On Friday, March 5, Big 3 News tested Chatroulette in a social experiment as part of our live news broadcast. We activated our webcam from Studio 3 and displayed our “partners” webcam images on the show with the use of picture-in-picture technology.For each stranger we encountered, we announced who we were, what we were doing, and asked them random questions such as what they thought of Chatroulette. In some instances, we conducted extended interviews with people about current issues of the day such as politics, healthcare, the earthquake in Chile, and the gaming world.
